  • How long should I stay off of new pavement?

With a quality sub-base laid down, you should wait 24-36 hours before driving on your new asphalt. Letting the sub-base fully develop is critical prior to driving on it.

  • How often should I seal coat my asphalt paving?

Asphalt should be seal coated every 2-3 years, depending on the amount of traffic the surface gets and general wear and tear.

  • Why is a strong sub-base necessary for new construction?

A solid sub-base is required for any project because it will protect the integrity of your asphalt for several years.

  • What is the ideal temperature for seal coating and asphalt paving?

The ideal external temperature for seal coating is 65 degrees or warmer. For laying asphalt, the ideal temperature is 50 degrees or warmer.
